School District of the Chatham's BOE is taking away your right to vote on the annual school budget.
Dear Chatham Resident,
The BOE is planning to move the school budget vote from April to November. Leaving the budget vote in April allows all Chatham residents to vote on the budget. Moving the vote to November denies all Chatham residents the right to vote and gives the BOE the authority to automatically push through the school budget as long as it does not exceed a 2% increase.
If you want to keep your right to vote on the school budget, please sign this petition and tell the BOE the residents of Chatham should decide if the vote date should be moved by making it a question in the upcoming election.
We need 1,500 signatures to make the BOE listen to the residents, please sign the petition and send this link to as many friends and neighbors as possible. Don’t let the BOE silence our voices!
Thank You!
