Bring back the course Advanced Functional Programming, 2D1456 to KTH CSC! Take a long hard look at C#, C++, Python and Ruby. Nearly all evolving programming language standards bodies are working towards incorporating the concepts of the functional programming paradigm. There is no doubt that these concepts will help us with parallel programming, maybe not for a couple of cpu cores, but hundreds of them.
