SAVE BATH’S HISTORIC PUBS
The Inn at Freshford is calling on Bath & North East District Council (BANES) to produce new guidelines to better protect the city’s historic public houses from closure and developers – ensuring they can only close and be redeveloped for housing or offices if they are no longer used by the community. We’ve been serving the local community since the 16th century, but in recent years we’ve seen many of our fellow local Inns call last orders at the bar for the final time. In light of the recent closure of The Packhorse Inn in the neighbouring village of South Stoke, we want BANES to publically and effectively stand-by the city's historic pubs.
