The distinct lack of dinosaurs in modern games is purely revolting, looking at http://4playerpodcast.com/2011/09/16/whatever-happened-to-dinosaurs/ for instance clearly shows there are only "Only two major releases in six years from a plethora of several dozen high profile developers to choose from". Even a simple Google search shows that thousands of people were and still are hoping for a dinosaur mode. Would it honestly be too hard to implement say, a game type where in the 3 biggest maps (Kharg Island, Caspian Border, and Operation Firestorm) dinosaurs roamed in waves trying to kill your squad? You already have the destructible environments, the man power, and the need for more content. There are some things that would take awhile and a lot of money but nothing that can't be earned back through DLC sales and new customers for future Battlefield games. EA is one of the biggest video game franchises in the world, but what EA has always had trouble with, in my eyes, is replay value. Yes, you have co-op, but it has downfalls, it is short, you can only play with 1 friend, and there are only about 7 levels. An infinite round defense mode is where the money is, I mean look at Black Op's Zombie mode, people spend about $60 each to get the maps because of its infinite replay value. Now, if you charge the standard $20 you can bet it will add an infinite amount of replay value, and people will keep coming back to the game, not to mention a serious threat to other games. I understand the want for realism, but honestly, people want some good random fun, look how much was written about the 10 second showing of the dinosaur toy, and the responses it got. No one will sell the game if this mode appears, but I can think of at least 15 people I know that would buy the game if it had a dinosaur wave defense mode. Dinosaurs are an untouched goldmine in the modern FPS game, why not jump on it?
