This is a petition to bring back the morning announcements at Chavez High School. Due to the lack of morning announcements, students are no longer informed of events going on. In previous years, there have been many complaints from educators claiming that announcements take up more class time than necessary. A possible solution to this problem is that only events that foster school spirit or student participation, such as fundraisers should be announced. Meaning that organizations such as ROTC should not make reminders that can be made during their class period, or organization meeting period, such as bringing ROTC uniforms to school. Additionally, it is crucial to bring back morning announcements in order for senior students to stay informed of events that greatly affect their last year of high school.
