President Watts finally folded and the football program is staying exactly where it belongs. We forced them to listen when they tried to kill our team in the dark. Keep your eyes open because we are not letting them pull this garbage again.

We urge UAB President Dr. Watts to take the following actions:

1. Immediately announce that UAB Football will NOT be dropped.

2. Immediately begin to negotiate a contract extension for Coach Bill Clark.

3. Immediately allow AD Brian Mackin and Coach Bill Clark to schedule football games beyond 2016.

4. Immediately accept help from donors, the City of Birmingham, and other entities to develop capital improvements for UAB Football.

President Watts is still trying to ignore us while we march toward ten thousand signatures. Flood his office with calls right now because this momentum is the only thing that will force him to listen.

President Watts is still hiding behind closed doors while this program hangs in the balance. We are busy turning up the heat on the administration and letting them know that Birmingham will not accept this pathetic attempt to kill our team.

President Watts is still pretending he can kill this program behind closed doors while we watch. We are staring down the one thousand signature mark and I need you to hit every group chat you have to force him to look at us.

UAB Football and the Marching Blazers deserve the support of the University of Alabama system. Football at public universities in Alabama means more than just the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Auburn Tigers. Please support the continuation of UAB Football.

UAB is Birmingham's team. I spent ten years of my life building the new hospitals, and building down there. I'm poud of UAB. While I'm not a fan of football I have bene pulling for the team for the last few years. They are a spark of pride for this city.

I graduated from UAB in 1993. You can't have a campus this large in the state of Alabama without a football team. You have to put money into something to get anything out of it. A big example is the new Barons baseball park. What is the BOT thinking.

I march for the UAB blazers and even though this is my first year, all of my great college memories so far has revolved around the football program! If football is taken away so is the band, and I can't express how heartbreaking that is for many.

I was a UAB Cheerleader from 1993-1998 and I also was a student assistant in the football office during the 1997-1998 season. Some of my fondest memories are cheering for UAB Football. I wouldn't trade my experiences for anything! Keep UAB Football!!!!

I was an RA for the football team and got to see up close how amazing this group of men are. They are a family and give a sense of pride to the entire university and community. They deserve to continue playing and bringing joy to the Birmingham area.
