Art Torres
Chairman,California Democratic Party
Dear Chairman Torres,
Please take immediate action and urge the Los Angeles County Registrar of Voters to count all of the ballots that were cast by Decline to State voters who voted in the February 5, 2008 Democratic Party Presidential Primary.
The Democratic Party of California encouraged DTS voters to ask for a Democratic Party ballot and vote in the Democratic Party Presidential Primary held on February 5th. Those efforts will be wasted if all of the votes in Los Angeles are not counted due to a confusing requirement to check a box confirming their intent to vote in the Democratic Primary when they had been given a Democratic Primary ballot.
Please make sure that all the votes are counted so that the selection of 2008 Convention Delegates is reflective of the actual votes cast on election day.
The massive surge in support proves that Art Torres and the party leadership can no longer ignore the thousands of voices demanding that every single vote gets counted. We have built enough momentum to force them to stop hiding behind these bureaucratic excuses and finally respect the will of the voters.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Don't tell people they can vote and then throw their ballots away because of some paperwork error. My vote matters!

Every vote needs to be counted. Period. Its how democracy works and it shouldn't matter if you checked a stupid box or not.
