Background (Preamble):
Mr. Lander McCoy "Coy" Bacon born August 30, 1942 ,Coy attended Jackson State College for two years and was a member of the famed Los Angeles Rams
Fearsome Foursome of the 1970s. He was selected to three Pro Bowls
during his 14 year career. During the 1976 season he set the
single season sack record of 26 sack. Between 1968 and 1981 Coy
played for the Rams, Chargers, Bengals, and Redskins.
Petition:
We, the undersigned, call on the National Football League, Commissioner
Roger Goodell, and the Professional Football Hall of Fame, Hall
of Fame President Steve Perry and the Senior Selection Committee to induct Mr. Coy Bacon into the Professional Football Hall of Fame and for the official recognition of his
single season sack record of 26 sacks set in the 1976 season.
