The city of Huntington Beach should be responsible informing residents, new and old. Residents need to be made aware of the real dangers of coyotes living in their neighborhoods in such close proximity. The residents request that notices be placed in the water and electric bills and signs at all the parks, including dog parks.
New residents are moving to the area, are not informed, do not take precautions or prevent any type of coyote attacks. Due to this, they are having beloved pets killed or mauled by coyotes.
Existing residents are not informed of the real dangers or not informed until after their pet is killed and they start searching for information.
Children are finding their beloved pets torn into pieces all over their backyard.
Pets are being killed and/or mauled daily in the warm months and its because people do not understand the real danger of coyotes living near their homes.
Residents need information on the real danger of leaving a pet in the backyard, the danger of a small child walking a dog, that their cat will be eaten by a coyote, that any person walking a dog should protect themselves with a Non-Lethal Weapon i.e. a large stick, air horn, stun gun cane, or bear spray to protect themselves against a coyote attack . Parents of new babies, toddlers, and young children need to be informed.
Existing residents are not informed and need to be.
New residents must be informed!
Please sign this petition if you think the city should put notices in electric and water bills, and post signs at ALL parks.
