A planning application has been submitted for the group of victorian warehouses to be demolished, at 44-50, 52-58 Lancaster Street, SE1, known as the Colorama buildings. Southwark council has previously undertaken a character appraisal and recommended them for listing.(see link below) Glasshill Street and Webber Street heritage buildings were proposed for demolition. Southwark Council listened and prevented this from occuring. However, the battle to retain the heritage of the area is not over. Want to help save the heritage of the area? Make your views heard!
