We, the undersigned support the following:
A) The Elliott family's right to have their child play basketball on their driveway.
B) The right of all children to play ball on their driveways and property.
C) The Environment Protection Act does not apply to playing basketball. Specifically, that Section 14 of the EPA which addresses "impairment property" of the quality of the natural environment for any use that can be made of it, and "loss of enjoyment of normal use of property."
D) That the city Council NOT ask the City Solicitor to investigate and report back on:
1. The need for a bylaw addressing deliberate blocking of daylight
2. The problem of noise in residential areas
3. The effectiveness of the current noise bylaw and the adequacy of its enforcement
E) That Anne Langdon withdraw her demand for $25,000.00 and cease all legal action against the Elliotts.

I'm a good friend of the Elliott family who thinks their right to freely use their driveway should be protected. I know they are overwhelmed by the outpouring of public support, and I would like to thank you on their behalf for signing this petition.
