We, the undersigned support the following:   A) The Elliott family's right to have their child play basketball on their driveway.
B) The right of all children to play ball on their driveways and property.
C) The Environment Protection Act does not apply to playing basketball. Specifically, that Section 14 of the EPA which addresses "impairment property" of the quality of the natural environment for any use that can be made of it, and "loss of enjoyment of normal use of property."   D) That the city Council NOT ask the City Solicitor to investigate and report back on:
1. The need for a bylaw addressing deliberate blocking of daylight 2. The problem of noise in residential areas 3. The effectiveness of the current noise bylaw and the adequacy of its enforcement   E) That Anne Langdon withdraw her demand for $25,000.00 and cease all legal action against the Elliotts.

So sad that some people have nothing better to do than make life hard for a family just trying to live their lives.

Are you kidding me? It is a kid playing basketball on his own property. People need to get a life instead of harassing their neighbors.

Keeping kids active is a good thing not a crime. Stop wasting everyone's time with this nonsense.

This is totally ridiculous. Let the kid play!! My kids play in our driveway all the time and I would be furious if someone tried to stop them.

What has this neighborhood come to. Absolutely absurd to use the EPA to target a basketball hoop. Unbelievable.
