As the school board redraws the Sequoia Union High School District into separate voting areas, we demand that it choose a map that will give Redwood City and East Palo Alto representation on the school board. Our communities have been chronically underrepresented on the school board - part of the reason that the board is ending at-large elections.

Now, the school board has a historic opportunity to do what is right.

We call on you to help Latino, African American, Pacific Islander and low-income communities have a voice in local education decisions by drawing fair and representative districts.
