Guillotte FROM: Theo Karantsalis, Librarian Date: Sunday, June 14, 2009 The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety released a dash cam video that shows Oklahoma Highway Patrolman Daniel Martin scuffling with EMT Maurice White on May 24. If you haven't seen the video, you can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watchv=1fLO6f8M_gM Trooper Martin was speeding – with his sirens on -- but there was no emergency. He placed EMT White in a choke hold, threatened him with arrest, and put a patient who was being rushed to the hospital in danger. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol's Web site, the OHP's mission is "working to provide a safe, secure environment for the public through courteous, quality and professional services." The mission says that the OHP is committed to the following core values: loyalty, honesty, respect, integrity, professionalism and self-discipline. Chief Guillotte, in your personal statement, you said that we should contact you if you can ever be of service. You can. Please fire Trooper Daniel Martin.
