We, the undersigned journalists, ask for the immediate release of Kieron Bryan, a British video journalist, who is currently imprisoned in Russia.

Kieron is facing a charge of piracy after accepting a job to film for Greenpeace on board the Arctic Sunrise.

Kieron is not an activist, nor is he a member of Greenpeace. Kieron is simply a freelance journalist who was just doing his job.Please consider that Kieron was filming an event, as he would film any event in his work as a journalist. Kieron films videos for news groups, charities, schools and many other organisations.

He is not a pirate.

We feel it is unfair that Kieron has been locked up for documenting an event.
