I, the undersigned, agree that during a time of high youth unemployment, legitimate international students should be allowed to continue enjoying world class education in the UK; and that to ensure that net migration is managed effectively, that all UK students should be given the opportunity to have a year's overseas experience (study, work placement, volunteer) as part of their education; this will help to enhance their global employability, to cultivate highly skilled British workers for British industry to compete globally, and to enhance the global standing of the UK as a country.

I started this because I felt frustrated by the lack of opportunities for our students but I never thought so many people would resonate with this vision. You are the ones identifying the real problem here and I am just trying to keep up with your ideas.

This is such a good idea kids here really need the chance to see how others work and study it would make a huge difference in the job market
Finally someone has a real plan. Staying in the uk only gets you so far when everywhere else is moving faster.
YES!! Give us the chance to travel and work abroad instead of just sitting at home with no prospects. This is long overdue.
Stop punishing students. We need the experience or we won't get hired anywhere decent.

Its about time we stop being so isolationist. British grads are left behind because we dont have the same international exposure as our peers
