Oppose Granite Mountain Wind Project, Apple Valley
The proposed Granite Mountain Wind Energy Project (Granite Wind Project) would install approximately 27 wind turbines and ancillary electric facilities on approximately 2,640 acres of public and private lands in the Granite Mountains between Apple Valley and Lucerne Valley in San Bernardino County. The residents of Apple Valley and surrounding areas OPPOSE this project! Twenty eight 415 Ft. high wind turbines will be visible to many Apple Valley and Lucerne Valley residents. This can\'t possibly NOT effect the value of your house. There are also concerns about the impact that construction, traffic, and visual pollution like the over head transmission lines will have on our communities. Deteriorating road conditions, noise, strobing lights, property devaluation, disturbance of wildlife, are just a few of the issues we are concerned with. But most importantly, we are paying for them with our tax dollars. Consider this: Because of incredible tax advantages, huge corporations have invested heavily in wind power.
