Mrs Arti Kumar and her two sons Ravi and Akash came to the UK in 2007 as asylum seekers. They fled Afghanistan after being attacked by the Taliban.

Mrs Kumar’s daughter was kidnapped by the extremists, and her eldest son Ravi was beaten and left for dead.

Ravi was so severely attacked that he has to see a neurologist who believes a metallic fragment exists in his head which is likely to be a bullet fragment.

The Kumar family’s application to remain in the UK was unsuccessful and have been informed by the UK Border Agency to leave the United Kingdom.

If deported the family will face torture and possibly death.
