YES for stills for 'Complete History of the ROTLD'
Dear Licensing Executive Clips & Stills department/Licensing and Worldwide Marketing for Warner Bros , We, the undersigned, urge Warner Bros. to allow the authors of the book 'The Complete History of the Return of the Living Dead (2010)' permission to use frame enlargements, publicity stills and posters from the 1988 movie 'Return of the Living Dead Part II" (Warner Bros.) It has been 21 years since the film was originally released by Lorimor Entertainment, in this time the film and its sequels and predecessor have never been celebrated in the manner in which they deserve. New fans are created with every viewing. Now, the desire to see "more" of the film has increased and 'The Complete History of the Return of the Living Dead (2010)' is the perfect opportunity to celebrate and promote these movies with interviews from over 50 members of the cast and crew and over 200 never-before-published photos. This book is a celebration of the series and it has immense benefits for studios such as: - Publicity of one of your archived movies to new fans of the zombie culture - Free publicity for the film - Enhancement of the commercial value of the original film - Arouse interest of the Return of the Living Dead Part 2 - Enlighten readers about the history and aesthetic qualities of the Return of the Living Dead Part 2 - Promote, publicise and celebrate the Return of the Living Dead Part 2 - Enhance the potential market for future DVD releases All images used will be accompanied with a listing in the publication of the original copyright holder. This will be done in the captions to the photographs and a separate section at the beginning and ending of the book. WB would be celebrated and acknowledged throughout the book for their support of the franchise. All we need is a yes to use images to promote this film and act as a form of publicity. There are no negatives for Warner Bros and this is a very positive project celebrating a franchise that is often over looked and underrated. The cast and crew of Return of the Living Dead Part II and other films in the ROTLD franchise are dedicated and loyal people who love their fans and the movies and want to share their stories. Those who have contributed to the research will be very disappointed and fans will be disappointed reading a chapter on Part 2 without any images from the DVD and publicity stills. "The Return of the Living Dead" is not merely a "cult film", it's a true horror classic. We, the fans (and horror fans in general) want to see this gem treated properly. Sincerely, The Undersigned. Thank you
