We the undersigned residents of Redbridge petition the Ilford South Labour Party to accept their fault in the recent local elections that has resulted in a by-election.

We believe the local Labour Party should take responsibility for their maladministration by footing the bill for the consequential losses and costs.

This bungle will deplete much needed council funds and will create further burden on an already reduced and limited budget.   We ask the Lbaour Party to donate funds commensurate to the cost of a by-election to Redbridge Council,  in order for them to reconcile a bemused Redbridge public.

We also petition all political parties to call for a reform of existing Electoral Commission rules that require a Local Authority to pay for a by-election - irrespective of administrative error.

We seek a fairer system that would involve invoking payments from political parties that have been subject to maladministration, leading to subsequent by-elections.

It is our money, not theirs. Stop wasting council cash on mistakes.

Absolutely ridiculous that taxpayers have to pay for Labour's mess up. They made the mistake they should pay the bill ourselves not the hard working people of Redbridge!!
