We, the undersigned, urge our Congressman, Charlie Dent (PA-15), to demonstrate his willingness to reach true bipartisan compromise by working with the President and Democrats beyond those few who share his ideological leanings. He must act with others to prevent a catastrophic national default or credit rating downgrade through negotiation of a balanced plan for deficit reduction that can win widespread support to pass Congress and that does not unfairly burden any one segment of our society.
