I am writing this petition to let people know about a big problem in hospitals and nursing homes in Australia. This problem is disability services and care and they are very poor from my point of view. There are many reasons such as it taking more than one month for a disabled person two get a wheel chair, the cost to by wheel chairs is to expensive and the government doesn't provide enough learning facilities for you children with a disability. This is why disability services need to be improved in Australia straight away. Firstly, thousands of children are born in Australia with a disability every year. Whether it is autism, cerebral palsy or they are just a quadriplegic, the government does not have enough good services to help the children learn just like other Australian kids. This must be improved, it is not good enough. It isn't fair on the children or their parents that they have to suffer because the government would rather spend money on other less important issues and not a to help them learn.This problem must be fixed. Another reason is the amount of time it is taking for people that have cerebral palsy and that are quadripolegic to get a wheel chair. They are waiting for more than a month to get one which in my mind is extremely unreasonable. This needs to be changed because disabled people shouldn't have to be restricted from doing every day things like going to the shops. The government needs to be quicker in providing disabled people with facilities like wheel chairs. My last point involves the matter of cost. The cost to by a wheel chair is so expensive and is not reasonable whatsoever. This is very unfair to the parents or carerers buying the wheel chair. This problem really needs to be fixed and should not be stood for anymore. Parents would really appreciate the change of a price drop in the exspenses of wheel chairs In concluding my petition I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this and I do hope you take some of this into consideration and sign my petition. Once again disability services are very poor in Australia and need to be changed.
