Hello friends, My name is Mary McDonald-Lewis, and I'm co-national board member of SAG-AFTRA representing Portland. I am writing you today in a completely unofficial capacity, as a concerned fellow unionist. Now that merger has been accomplished, many changes are being considered by the union. One of these changes includes eliminating staff and brick-and-mortar offices outside of LA and NY, which would include Portland. With our incredible executive director engaged in significant legislative work and ongoing union organizing; our current production work and the growing promise of more thanks to a film-friendly government and culture, I believe this is the wrong time to close our office. This issue will be determined THIS WEEKEND, April 19-21, at the SAG-AFTRA Plenary. If you agree, please sign this petition. I will bring the results with me to Plenary, and fight for you there.
