In July of 1999 a double homicide occurred in the Town of Leicester. A 36 year old mother was stabbed and strangled to death and the woman’s 9 year old daughter was sexually assaulted and murdered. The man convicted for the homicides and sexual assault has applied for parole. A parole hearing is scheduled for next week. The Leicester Police Department, after reviewing the facts surrounding the crime and suspect's history/record while incarcerated, is opposing his parole request as we believe it is a public safety issue.
