Hello fellow Americans.  If you're like me and millions of others today you're frightened at the rate of rampant property seizures being perpetrated by the banks and mortgage institutions today.  With the economy getting worse instead of  better and our taxpayer bailout dollars being used as a crutch to prop up the lifestyles of the wealthy, as many as six percent of Americans are unemployed today.  The unemployment rate is higher than any other time in American History save the Great Depression. 

And what are the banks and financial institutions doing about it?  Foreclosing on property at breakneck rates!  There is no grace, no forgiveness.  Just rampant property seizure that threatens to leave millions of taxpaying Americans and their families on the streets.  The government cannot provide support for all these families set upon by the banks.  If something is not done there could be shantytowns across the United States soon.

What this petition proposes to do about it: 

Tell Congress that we need widespread and immediate cancellation of foreclosure debts!  Many of these foreclosures are taking place on loans which where illegal in the first place or at the very least unscrupulous.  Please sign this petition to force Congress to tell the banks to relent.  We need as many names as possible to show the status quo that we will not tolerate being thrown out of our homes by greedy bankers and brokers.  If enough people sign this petition Congress will be forced to take action.
