It's National Information Literacy Awareness Month, and we want YOU, the ever-important librarian, to pledge your commitment to teaching and instilling information literacy skills to America's youth.

For each signature on this petition, EasyBib and TeachInfoLit.org will donate $1 to the American Library Association to further reinforce the importance of information literacy education and awarness in the United States.

Please, share this with your colleagues and fellow librarian friends. It is imperative we make our voices heard regarding the importance of information literacy! Go crazy--share this link on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, emails, wherever!

Information literacy skills are imperative for an informed and educated citizenry. Academic librarians, teacher librarians, media specialists--the titles vary, and we educate different age groups, but our goal remains the same: to instill and provide the skills necessary to assess, evaluate, and utilize information effectively.
