This petition is signed by the citizens of Portsmouth, Ohio; both registered and unregistered voters, over the age of 18 years old.  These signatures represent the publics view and opposition of the upcoming levy that will be placed on the ballot in May, 2011 for a .06% “City Income Tax Increase” or known as also as, the “Safety Levy.”

This petition will be sent to the City of Portsmouth, Mayor’s Office, Portsmouth City Council, Portsmouth City Auditor’s Office, State of Ohio Auditor’s Office, and State Representative, Terry Johnson.

Signing this petition states that you oppose or are against this levy and do not support the raising of the city income tax rate in the May 2011 ballot.
