Ci rivolgiamo a Voi per chiedere un intervento deciso perché si arrivi all’immediata scarcerazione di Nadežda Savčenko: cittadina ucraina di 34 anni, da più di venti mesi incarcerata nelle prigioni della Federazione Russa. Il Governo russo sta calpestando i diritti civili, le convenzioni internazionali e la Costituzione dello stato stesso, facendosi gioco dell’opinione pubblica internazionale e senza attenersi agli accordi di Minsk.

Tutti gli sforzi che sono stati fatti fino a questo momento dalla comunità internazionale sono stati vani. Per protestare contro la decisione presa dal tribunale, Nadežda Savčenko ha iniziato uno sciopero della fame. Salvare Nadežda Savčenko è una prova dell’efficienza della diplomazia internazionale e un atto di fedeltà verso i valori europei.
