Save Jelly's A Dance Cafe
Jelly's a Dance Cafe has been served in eviction notice by the Port of San Francisco because of a shooting in the parking lot on July 11th. Jelly's is scheduled for eviction on August 18th - we want to ask the port to reverse their decision because it was made hastily and stems from greed. Our community cannot afford to lose another music venue and we need your help to keep Jelly's a Dance Cafe going. The Entertainment Commission is working with Jelly's to implement tougher security to eradicate any potential for violence. This was an isolated situation stemming from a private party that had rented the club out. Jelly's has been operating for 14 years with a strong track record in the community for supporting Live Music and several non-profit community fundraisers. Jelly's is small business and was there before the Giants! This is more an issue of the Port wanting the real estate back in order to develop the property to the highest bidder. This is not about violence or suspected violence, if that were the case the Port would have evicted the Giants when there was shooting at the stadium. No - this is about gentrification and we need your help to stop it! Thank you for supporting small business, live music and community! Jelly's Owners, Staff and Patrons!
