“Say No” to the Red Rock Overlay Amendment DENY ORD-0210-10. We, the undersigned, oppose the ordinance to amend the Red Rock Overlay, and ask The Clark County Commission to deny ORD-0210-10 on April 21, 2010. We request that Clark County not settle with Gypsum Resources LLC or its managers, Truckee Springs Holdings, Inc. We believe our neighborhoods, families and children deserve to have the Red Rock Overlay boundaries and protections defended, for the continued preservation of Red Rock Canyon National Conservation area and its natural resources and beauty, for the recreation and quality of life the canyon brings to our community and visitors, both national and international, who travel to see its majestic beauty. We ask also that the Clark County Commissioners place an Advisory Question on the November 2010 ballot to allow for counties, cities and the state to pass a statute protecting existing and potential environmentally sensitive areas from incompatible development.
