Oxford City Council is planning to close Temple Cowley Swimming Pools, comprising swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room and multi-activity room. The Council wants to build a new swimming pool (25m x 8 lane, same size as at TCP) in Blackbird Leys .  If this happens, the users of Temple Cowley will lose local provision for swimming, gym and sauna facilities, and have to travel outside the ring road.
