Stop government cut for funding chiropractic services for low income people
Effective July 1st , 2017, chiropractic services will be no longer be available to lower income programs . These programs consist of supplementary Health Benefits, Family Health Benefits Program, and Seniors Income Plan. If you are in recipient of these programs , you will not be able to coverage for Chiropractic services as of July 1, 2017. You will be responsible for the cost of the chiropractic services that you need to get by in your everyday life to life tasks.
I myself am a individual that requires chiropractic treatments to get by in my everyday life situations. I know many people who require them and would be bed ridden if they were not be able to receive treatments.
The Chiropractor's Association of Saskatchewan is raising the issue with the Government, and will continue to ask for the decision to be reconsidered.
The voice of lower income individuals on the following services need to be heard and not brushed aside . I am making my voice heard by getting this petition started for those who feel the same way I do or believe that it should be decided by Government officials to make this harsh and unhealthy decision. Please take the time to sign this petition it would be a great help to lower income individuals, but also Chiropractor's association.
Also if you want to voice your concern , please contact your local MLA or speak to your chiropractor
