There are rumours on the Internet that street dogs and cats are being poisoned again.

Also people are talking about a movement of the government that the strays are going to be poisened in big numbers, in all of the 27 governorates of Egypt with the order of the minister of local development in Egypt Ahmed Zaki Badreldin.

We, as human beings, cannot accept such dreadful act of killing innocent stray animals.

Here in Hurghada, many organizations, private people and private vet clinics have been working hard since years to reduce the amount of strays in the street by spaying and neutering them. For that is the only long term solution.

The Bluemoon Animalcenter Hurghada, as the biggest organization to mention here in Hurghada, has an agreement with the governor of the Red Sea to not poison or shoot any street dogs anymore. We were happy and we felt proud that finally the shooting and poisoning of street dogs in Hurghada has stopped.

This agreement seems to be violated when hearing all these rumours. Also in almost every part of Hurghada people claim daily the poisoning of street dogs. If it is private people doing the poisoning, the government has to stop it. Just think about what can happen if a child gets in touch with the poison?

We have to act quickly.

To all of you, let us be as one and set an example to stop this cruelty towards the street animals.

Stoppt die Vergiftung der Strassentiere Aegyptens

Es gibt zur Zeit viele Geruechte im Internet, dass Strassenkatzen und Strassenhunde wieder vergiftet werden.

Auch sprechen die Menschen ueber Aktionen der Regierung, dass die Strassentiere in allen 27 Regierungsgebieten Aegyptens in grossen Nummern vergiftet werden sollen. Den Befehl dazu hat angeblich der Minister fuer lokale Entwicklung Aegyptens Ahmed Zaki Badreldin gegeben.

Wir duerfen solch furchtbare Taten des Toetens unschuldiger Strassentiere nicht hinnehmen.

Hier in Hurghada arbeiten seit Jahren viele Tierschutzorganisationen, Privatleute und private Tieraerzte hart daran, die Anzahl der Strassentiere durch Kastration zu reduzieren. Dieses ist die einzige Langzeitloesung.

Das Bluemoon Animalcenter Hurghada, um die groesste Tierschutzorganisation hier in Hurghada zu nennen, hat eine Vereinbarung mit dem Gouverneur des Roten Meeres, dass keine Strassenhunde mehr erschossen oder vergiftet werden. Wir waren so gluecklich und auch stolz, dass das Erschiessen und Vergiften der Strassenhunde endlich ein Ende gefunden hatte.

Diese Vereinbarung scheint bei all diesen Geruechten auf der Kippe zu stehen. Zudem hoert man von taeglichen Vergiftungsaktionen in allen Bereichen Hurghadas. Wenn es Privatleute sind, die diese Hunde vergiften, sollte die Regierung diese Taten stoppen. Man bedenke, was passieren koennte, wuerde ein Kind mit dem Gift in Kontakt kommen?

Wir muessen schnell handeln.

An Euch alle, lasst uns als eine Instanz handeln und ein Zeichen gegen diese Gewalt gegenueber der Strassentiere setzen.

ونحن، كبشر، لا يمكن أن نقبل هذا الفعل الرهيب من قتل الحيوانات الضالة الأبرياء

ناس خاصةوعيادات البيطرية الخاصة تعمل بجد منذ سنوات لتقليل كمية اعداد الحيوانات الضالة في الشارع

.من قبل التعقيم و الخصي لهم. وهو الحل الوحيد على المدى الطويل

وبلو مون مركز للحيوانات بالغردقة، واالذي يعتبر أكبر منظمة هنا بالغردقة، لديه اتفاق مع محافظ البحر الأحمر لعدم تسميم أوإطلاق

كنا سعداء وشعرنا بالفخر أن أخيرا إطلاق النار والتسمم كلاب الشوارع في الغردقة قد توقف

.ويبدو أن هذا الاتفاق قد انتهك عند سماع كل هذه الشائعات. و تقريبا في كل جزء من الغردقة الناس يدعون يوميا تسميم كلاب الشوارع

إذا كان الناس الخاصه هى من قامت بالتسميم ، فيجب على الحكومة وقفها . مجرد التفكير في ما يمكن أن يحدث لطفل عند اتصاله مع السم؟
