IT’S BEEN CONFIRMED: Bay Park Sewage Treatment Plant IS ILLEGALLY DUMPING SEWAGE into Reynolds Channel!

Reynolds Channel is bordered by Atlantic Beach, Lawrence, Woodmere, Long Beach, Oceanside, Island Park, Lido, East Rockaway and Point Lookout. Reynolds Channel feeds into the East Rockaway and Jones Beach Inlets that flows into the Atlantic Ocean and onto our beaches.

Sludge from the Bay Park Sewage Treatment Plant in East Rockaway, New York, is being illegally dumped into Reynolds Channel.

Bay Park Plant officials have admitted to the dumping violations!
The DEC (Department of Environmental Conservation) has confirmed the violations!
The Bay Park Sewer Treatment plant is clearly in disrepair, but Nassau County officials are dragging their feet to fix it, hoping the complainers will just go away.
