US Address Version Stop the Jungo Road Land Fill, Winnemucca, Nevada

Before you read and sign the petition, please see the notes to your right in the column labeled 'sponsor'.
Winnemucca, Humboldt County, Nevada Government Officials, and Local Citizens:
The Black Rock desert is not a waste land and should not be used as a dump. Our deserts are national treasures full of life, Native American artifacts and history, as well as the trails left by those choosing to make the West their home.
We, the undersigned, are part of a group of many that enjoy, respect and celebrate the Black Rock for outdoor recreation, study, a sense of community and shared interests.
While most of us are not voters or residents of Humboldt County or Winnemucca, we are frequent visitors to the Black Rock.
The purpose of our statement is to communicate our support for stopping the landfill. Also, to let local officals know that the fans and users of this wonderful area support stopping this travesty that goes far beyond the local community.
Stopping the Jungo Road landfill is now a broader issue on the national stage, and many of us are working hard to protect this magnificent landscape from tons of unwanted trash.
Do not leave a personal legacy of 95 years of approximately one (1) million tons of non-recyclable trash per year for future generations to deal with.
Stop the Jungo Landfill. Respect of our environment and the invaluable heritage of the Black Rock, as all of us signing below do.
