To the Center for Student Involvement and Leadership,

The new campus funded organization, the Rotten Appal, is a disgrace to Appalachian State University. It publicly shames other campus organizations, students, and helps promote stereotypes in our community. While it has always been attributed to the university, now that you have chosen to allow the group a $650 yearly university stipend, it is an official university funded organization. Our school should use funding to promote equality, love and support between students and clubs. Instead, the Rotten Appal mocks the issues of others and includes articles that are insulting to those struggling with weight and racism.

This organization is a shame to the Appstate name, and must be removed immediately from campus.
