Dear San Francisco Citizens, Visitors, Tennis and Sport Enthusiasts,
Dolores Park is in the midst of a total revamp. The Park renovation was granted over $13M. Yet, there is a concern that the Tennis Courts may be neglected in the project. http://sfrecpark.org/doloresParkProjectPage.aspx
These courts have been a vital part of the tennis community in San Francisco and happen to be more used that the ones in the Golden Gate Park. Tennis is a great way for people to exercise, socialize and have fun! Tennis like many other sports help children and adults improve their physical health, social skills and happiness.
San Francisco has a long tradition of tennis and it would be a shame to see these courts neglected in the scope of the park's renovation. Myself and other volunteers will make sure at the project meetings, that all sport lovers and tennis enthusiasts get heard about the emotional attachment we all have to these courts.
