To Senate President Michael Waddoups, House Speaker Becky Lockhart and the Utah Legislature: We, the citizens of your state and your country, demand that you listen to our voices. Two-thirds of your constituency have declared support in preventing both housing and employment discrimination. As the officials whom we elect, it is time that you stand with us. Senate President Michael Waddoups' recent statements, threatening to repeal those current protections which are already in place, are completely unacceptable and contrary to his own proclaimed principles of letting local governments decide for themselves. We stand as one, with one voice, to say "enough is enough." It is time that all Utahns received their constitutionally guaranteed protections under the law.
