UIC Fair Contracts Now
2700 workers at the University of Illinois at Chicago have been denied a contract for over a year. These support staff and Medical Center employees - UIC's lowest paid employees - are members of the Service Employees International Union Local 73 & they have decided to strike. Management has refused to address the top priority of the workers - job security. Management says union workers are greedy for requesting modest raises. The University pleads poverty while giving a $170,000 raise to their new president.
UIC - settle the contracts!
Don't balance the budget on the backs of those least able to afford it.
