We firmly believe that the public cannot effectively vet Mitt Romney as a candidate for President of the United States without his publicly disclosing his tax returns from the year 2000 forward. The 2010 return he did disclose could very well have merely been 'window dressing' for his candidacy. Even so, it did bring to light important facts that the public needed to know regarding the candidate. Full disclosure is particularly important in light of the fact that Mitt Romney has acquired a great deal of money through use of the US financial markets, and has received favorable tax treatment while doing so. He has also held funds outside of the US in 'offshore' and Swiss bank accounts. The voting public deserves full disclosure.
