Cymru dros Dreth Robin Hood
Rwy’n cefnogi cyflwyno Treth Robin Hood ar drafodion ariannol, gyda golwg ar godi arian at fynd i’r afael â thlodi a newid hinsawdd, gartref a thramor, gan gynnwys yma yng Nghymru.
Pe gellid gosod treth bitw ond cyffredinol o 0.05% ar drafodion ariannol y banciau, byddai hyn yn codi cannoedd o biliynau o bunnoedd bob blwyddyn i’w gwario ar achosion da.
Rwy’n galw ar Lywodraeth y DU i ymuno â gwledydd eraill yn Ewrop i sefydlu Treth ar Drafodion Ariannol gan sicrhau y bydd y cyllid a godir yn cael ei ddefnyddio i fynd i’r afael â thlodi a newid hinsawdd.
Rwy’n galw hefyd ar arweinwyr gwleidyddol Cymru hwythau i gefnogi’r fath dreth ac i bwyso ar Lywodraeth y DU i’w rhoi mewn grym.
Wales for a Robin Hood Tax
I support the introduction of a Robin Hood Tax on financial transactions, to help raise funds to tackle poverty and climate change, at home and abroad, including in Wales.
A tiny tax of 0.05% on banks’ financial transactions, if introduced globally, would raise hundreds of billions of pounds every year for good causes.
I call on the UK Government to join with other European countries in introducing a Financial Transaction Tax and ensuring the proceeds are used to tackle poverty and climate change.
I also call on Welsh political leaders to support this tax and to put pressure on the UK Government to do so.
