To whom it may concern, we, the undersigned, respectfully request that you consider the thoughts and feelings of many Spooks fans who were devastated over the original ending. We believe that after the laborious postcard campaign to bring Ruth back, that she deserved to at least survive the end of the show, if not have her time in the sun with Harry. Whilst we understand that a tragic ending is often more dramatic, after almost ten years of Harry and Ruth never quite getting together, we believe they deserved to be together at the end of the show in some form. Although it has been stated that no alternate ending was shot, it is believed that there was an alternative script, but that the  powers that be changed their mind and decided to go with the ending that was screened.  With that in mind, it would be wonderful if either the alternative script could be put on the dvd as an extra or even shot, if not in time for this dvd, as a possible dvd containing this plus extras such as  scenes that didn't make the final cut. I'm sure this would be something the fans would be prepared to pay for, as an extra treat. We would ask Kudos to PLEASE consider this as a possibility to give a little something back to the Ruth and Harry fans for their support over the years. I believe that doing this would not compromise the ending already aired but perhaps make life a little more bearable for those of us in mourning not only for the passing of Ms Evershed and all her unrealised hopes and dreams, but for the magnificent drama that held us all spellbound for ten years. Thank you.
