On January 9th, the first day of the 2023 Legislative Session, Colorado State Senator Mark Baisley introduced Senate Bill, SB23-025, for a new Special License Plate featuring the U.S. National Motto, "In God We Trust", from the last stanza of the U.S. National Anthem, "The Star Spangled Banner":

"O thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war's desolation.
Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the Heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be Our Motto: 'In God is Our Trust.'
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave!"

Twenty-four States have already enacted Legislation supporting "In God We Trust" and "God Bless America" Special License Plates...so now is the time for a new Colorado "In God We Trust" Special License Plate and to show your support of our Constitutionally Protected "Freedom of Religion" in American and Colorado history!

Our goal is to collect 3,500 qualified signatures to support this new Colorado "In God We Trust" Special License Plate. By signing this secure petition, you are indicating your backing and interest in it. There is no obligation to buy the plate when available beginning early in 2024.
