Dear Board of Directors,

We hope this letter finds you well. As parents, we are thrilled to be part of such a wonderful school community that has given our children so much. As you know, the search for a new headmaster is underway, and we wanted to take the opportunity to share our thoughts on what we believe are the key areas of improvement that will help our school maintain its position as the number one school in El Salvador. We value your hard work and dedication to our school and hope that our input will be helpful in finding the right candidate for the role.

Firstly, we believe that improving the academic and sport standards is crucial to ensure that Escuela Americana remains at the forefront of education in the country. We aim to challenge our kids academically and athletically, and we believe this can only be achieved by having highly qualified teachers and coaches who can deliver an excellent English-speaking curriculum that demands our students to truly learn and excel compared to other schools in the country. Elementary education is the foundation of our beloved students, and it is vital that we focus on building their academic and athletic skills and knowledge from a young age.

Secondly, we understand that values are of utmost importance in today's fast-paced world. In addition to academic excellence, it is essential to teach our children how to navigate the internet, social media, bullying, and peer pressure. We would like to see our children engage in activities that instill a sense of community, such as field trips to orphanages, elderly homes, or community service projects. We believe that EA´s partnership with the CBP/FORJA program was a phenomenal complement to the academic curriculum, aligned with the new Core Values stated in EA´s vision, and should be reconsidered to reinforce these values and lessons throughout our children's lives.

Lastly, we believe that parents should be more involved in our children's education and school activities. We would like to have more direct and honest communication with teachers, staff, and other parents without fear of repercussions. We want to be a part of the institution, contribute to the school's success, help guide our kids and make it a comfortable and inviting environment for all.

We sincerely hope that our concerns are taken into consideration during the search for a new headmaster. As a follow-up to this letter, 3 to 4 representatives from the parent community would like to schedule a meeting with you to further discuss our concerns in more detail. We appreciate your dedication to the betterment of our school and students and assure you of our full support in these endeavors.

Sincerely,

The Parents of Escuela Americana.
