Sub:- Recognition of A.M.I.E equivalent to Graduates in Engineering prescribed for the

Registered Valuer examination being conducted by I.B.B.I.

This is to bring to your notice that Govt of India(M.C.A) recently established the new

department titled as Insolvency & Bankruptcy Board of India(IBBI) in the year 2016, under

Companies act 2013 Section247(1).The IBBI is authorised mainly to deal with Banking sector

NPAs & to streamline Valuation profession..

We the A.M.I.E engineers along with B.Tech/B.E(civil&mech) registered with Chief

Commissioner of Income Tax under wealth tax Act 1957 section 34B, &getting membership

from Institution of Valuers New Delhi thus practicing as a Govt Regd Valuers and serving the

Banking Sector & F.Is since beginning.

Recently the IBBI issued Notification that all existing Valuers are to be passed the Regd Valuers

examination being conducted by IBBI. The eligibility prescribed is Graduate in Engineering i.e.

B.Tech/ B.E but A.M.I.E is not considered equivalent B.Tech /B.E. hence A.M.I.E engineers are

not permitted for the Regd. Valuer exams.

It is understood that A.I.C.T.E New Delhi raised some objections regarding the A.M.I.E

equivalent. to B.Tech/B.E..Due to this objection many hundreds of Experienced Valuers (AMIE)

going to loose their profession throughout the Country.

As you are aware that most of the AMIEs are the Corporate Members of our 1E1.

In view of the above facts ,Your good office is requested to study the problem interact with IBBI

& AICTE and do the needful in re-instating the Eligibility in line with B.E/B.Tech Engineers.
