Improve Teacher to Student Ratio at Lightbridge Clifton!
As many of us know, the teacher to student ratio here at Lightbridge has been creeping up in the past months not only for the older children, but extending to the toddler level classrooms as well. While we are understanding of the financial pressures required to run a daycare center, this places greater pressure on our teachers to manage the assortment of tasks they complete daily – feedings, diapers, group activities, individual play – and of course, the inevitable tantrums and fights.
This is beginning to take a toll on the staff, whom we see leaving Lightbridge on an increasing basis. We appreciate the good work of the teachers caring for our children and don’t want to lose the caregivers we’ve grown to trust and rely on. And of course, with fewer teachers, there is less time to focus on each individual child’s growth and development.
If you wish to see an improvement in the teacher to student ratio, which could be as little as one teacher per room, please sign this petition so we can help make Lightbridge Academy of Clifton an even better school!
