I am starting this petition because it has come to my attention that a large amount of students at Notre Dame High School would like Friday, October 31, off to go to the Giants Parade. This is a very special time to unify everyone as a community and celebrate over the win of our beloved team. The punishment for skipping school on Friday is not being able to participate in the next competition or game, which only applies to athletes. This means that people who are not athletes will still be able to skip school on Friday and not get any punishment. I respect that ASB has put a lot of time and effort into planning out the rally on Friday, so they should move it to Tuesday during Collaboration. No one will care that it's a Halloween rally on November 4th. Also, I have heard that there are numerous faculty members who plan on attending the parade. Please take this petition into consideration.
