THANK YOU!! The home owners association board unanimously approved moving forward with the playground, pending verification of signatures through phone calls to a random sampling of signers. Please be sure to respond to these calls to verify that you did sign this petition.
A proposal has been submitted to the association board
requesting the appropriation of $34,820 in association funds to build a
playground in Crofton Park. The playground would include a natural-colored play
structure serving children ages 2-12, four swings (two tot and two belt), two
benches, timber border and ground cover.
This project would be paid for by existing association funds.
The association currently has more than $80,000 in reserves. Residents would
not have to pay any additional fees.
A playground is more than just a safe place for children to
play. It helps create and strengthen neighborhood connections, instill a sense
of community, improve property values and draw in potential home buyers.
Approval of at least 51% of property owners -- 150 homes -- is
needed to use association funds for building the playground. Signatures will be
collected from January 20 to April 20.
*Please sign only once per household.
