The CAG High School band is proposing this petition in order to get confirmation from the school to go to AASCA Band 2025 in Costa Rica. All students in the band have the requirements, experience, and knowledge to travel and compete against schools from Central America to demonstrate our skills and compositions, and represent CAG in an international competition. We have been working very hard on each composition and practicing every week in order to reach this competition, but the school is constantly pushing back our events. Furthermore, the school had let us know that even if we would miss an opportunity to go to Disney California to record and present our compositions, that we would be able to go to AASCA Band to present, but in the light of recent events, we found out that we would not participate in either of the competitions, without an explanation or a reason why. Having the chance to go to AASCA Band will give us an opportunity to travel with the school, promote the band, get a good reference for our resumes, and most importantly, bond with each other and form connections and memories that will last for the rest of our lives.
