Afrim’s Sports is reaching out to our soccer and sports community for your support for town approval to allow us to build an indoor and outdoor sports park in Colonie. Afrim's Sports is proposing this project to grow with the sporting community so that we may provide more fields to meet everyone's needs, including a more available space for practices.

Afrim's Sports is seeking your support at the next meeting of the Colonie Zoning Board of Appeals scheduled for:

Dear Colonie Zoning Board of Appeals:

I am in favor of the building permit for Afrim Nezaj, owner of Afrim’s Sports Inc., to construct a multiple use dome and outdoor fields at 969 Watervliet Shaker Road, which is adjacent to Memory Gardens Cemetery and Memorial Park.

I am in favor of Afrim Nezaj’s project for the following reasons:

· There is a lack of sports complexes in the Capital District to provide athletes of all ages the ability to play their favorite sport all year long.

· The soccer and sports communities are growing and need more fields. The sports park will help meet the needs for our region’s expanding sporting communities.

· The sports park will allow Afrim’s Sports to host a variety of events that will benefit not just the sporting community but local businesses in Colonie and the Capital Region, for example stores, restaurants and hotels.

· Having more room for our sporting communities to grow, would create more opportunities for children and adults to be more involved in physical activities and the sports they love all year long.

· Creating more fields will give people the chance to participate in sport, which would not only benefit the health and well being of our communities, but also can help create social events for people in a community to come together as one.
