I've suffered from depression my whole life and i'm tired of taking pills that don't work. My mom was watching the Dr. Oz show and he talked about a new treatment for depression, it is called Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation or TMS. Essentially magnetic energy is focused on the part of the brain that dictates your emotions and fires up all the neuron connections in your brain that never worked properly and reprograms them. The FDA approved this revolutionary treatment 3 years ago yet no one has heard of it. You wanna know why? The woman I spoke with at Medicare told me they would rather me continue to see the doctor and take a handful of pills instead of approving this treatment! Apparently since TMS permanently cures you of depression they can't make money so they want me to stay sick. The treatment cost out of pocket is almost 10k. I am on disability and don't have that to even live on for a year, and I cannot come up with that kind of cash. I find it down right ridiculous that the government wants me to stay ill! This is a petition to send to medicare asking them to approve TMS therapy for me. I am passionate about this because it can literally save my life!
